How to Choose the Right T-Shirt Fit
A good t-shirt is the base of almost every outfit, yet most people buy by size label alone. Sizes vary a lot between brands, so it pays to know what to check instead.
Start with the shoulders
The shoulder seam should sit right at the edge of your shoulder bone. If it hangs down your upper arm, the shirt is too big. If it pulls toward your neck, it is too small.
Check sleeve and body length
Sleeves should end around mid-bicep and stay snug without squeezing. The hem should fall near the middle of your hips. Longer than that looks sloppy, and shorter rides up when you move.
Pick the fit that suits your build
Slim fit follows the body closely. Regular fit leaves some room at the chest and waist. Relaxed or oversized fit is looser and more casual. If you are between sizes, choose the one that fits your shoulders and chest, since the length is easier to tailor.
Fabric matters too
Heavier cotton holds its shape and hides lines. Thin fabric drapes more and can cling. Check the weight in the product details when it is listed.
